The Greatest Life Ever Lived

Text: Luk 1:32

A. The Greatest Lover.

  1. Jesus was not married, but He is the greatest lover.

  2. He showed that He is the greatest lover in dying for man (Joh 15:13).

  3. His purpose in coming to earth was to die for man (Mat 20:28).

  4. To live life to the greatest potential, we need to have love (1Co 13:13).

  5. Since our Lord has shown us such great love, we ought to love Him above everything else (Mat 10:37-38).

B. The Greatest Instructor.

  1. Jesus was not highly educated, but He is the greatest instructor.

  2. He showed that He is the greatest instructor in giving man the words of eternal life (Joh 6:68).

  3. His purpose in coming to earth was to preach the gospel (Mar 1:38).

  4. To live life to the greatest potential, we need to have knowledge (Pro 4:7).

  5. Since our Lord has given us such great teachings, we ought to study it diligently (Mat 13:52).

C. The Greatest Follower.

  1. Jesus was not a slave, but He is the greatest follower.

  2. He showed that He is the greatest follower in keeping the law of God perfectly (Heb 4:15).

  3. His purpose in coming to earth was to do the will of God (Joh 6:38).

  4. To live life to the greatest potential, we need to have humility (Mat 18:4).

  5. Since our Lord has demonstrated such great submissiveness, we ought to submit and do the will of God (Jas 4:7).

D. The Greatest Exemplar.

  1. Jesus was not a Pharisee, but He is the greatest exemplar.

  2. He showed that He is the greatest exemplar in washing His disciples’ feet (Joh 13:15).

  3. His purpose in coming to earth was to serve (Mar 10:45).

  4. To live life to the greatest potential, we need to serve (Mat 23:11).

  5. Since our Lord has exhibited such great selflessness, we ought to serve one another in love (Gal 5:13).
